Ancient Mayan / Aztec death whistle. This Death Whistle is based on an ancient Aztec design to make a haunting sound. It recreates a sound like a human scream or howl in a cave or tunnel. These were found in many Aztec graves clenched in the deceased’s hands. It is done from a 3D scan of a stone carving of Quetzalcoatl in the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. When they take shape the cooling fan blows into forming whistle and creates a rhythmic breathing sound. Each one takes on a life of its own.
